Smart plug, – similarly to the Sonoff S26 (R2) – is an eWeLink / Tuya app compatible WiFi smart plug, with 16A maximum load, so you can use it to control more powerful electrical devices (e.g. some electric heating, ironing or washing machine).
Also has a built-in power metering feature, so you can use it to measure power consumption and cost of your home appliances. You can check historical power consumption data on a graph in the eWeLink / Tuya App, as well as, download consumption statistics in CSV format. Also, a consumption meter Start/Stop feature can be used to measure the consumption of the device(s) from manual start to manual stop.
It also has OPS (Overload protection) features, so you may set maximum power, maximum voltage and maximum current as TURN OFF triggers to protect your electrical device from overload.
Of course, the device also has a physical push-button switch, so the plug can be turned on/off on the device as well.
The possibility of remote access can also be shared with others, like family members. It’s a perfect solution for the smart control of household appliances and lamps plugged into sockets. With its use, we can comfortably turn on the desired devices from afar before we get home, and we can conveniently schedule the switch-off to save energy and costs.
